his listing is for a vintage alto saxophone ligature. There is no brand name on it, and no country of origin stamp. It is made of heavier gage metal than most ligatures are these days. I'd guess this one was made prior to WWII. It is silver plated with a "satin" finish. It was probably included as original equipment with a satin silver plated horn, and thus was made to match.
This ligature
is in excellent condition. It has not been bent out of shape or cracked. The screws function perfectly. There is no noticeable wear to the plating, but it is quite tarnished. It would clean up nicely if you so desired. This ligature will fit standard size hard rubber or plastic alto sax mouthpieces. Also included is the cap shown, but it is not original to the ligature.
