VINTAGE LUDWIG GREEN SPARKLE BONHAM DRUM KIT M14x26; 10x14; 16x16; 16x18

John’s drumming was the driving force that propelled the legendary Band. His playing style, drum selections and tuning was revolutionary for the ages. Our goal is to provide the exact gear that Bonham used, and this is the best!
This is not a reproduction kit,
but an Original 1970’s Vintage Ludwig Factory 3ply Drum Kit.  This kit has factory matching specifications to Bonhams Green Sparkle Kit. The wrap was professionally completed by a precision drum company, using official Ludwig green sparkle wrap.
Ultra rare find!  The very rare 10” x 14” 3 ply Left Side Tom with the muffler in the “Correct Bonham position” is among the rarest of all drums from the 70’s.  Second to that is the 3 ply 14” x 26” Bass drum with factory consulate mount and factory cymbal arm mount.  What blew me away was the matching 16” x 16” and 16” x 18” Floor Toms.  This is an amazing find of my vintage drum collecting.
The Kit includes the Original Ludwig Factory Front Green Logo Bass Drum Heads, Bass Drum Felt Strip, Falam Pad,  Vintage Remo Tom Heads and the Original Hex Key.
One of the finishing touches is the Original Vintage Ludwig Rail Consulate Mount and Bass Drum Mounted Cymbal L-Arm mounted in the correct position. We have taken this to the next level by checking that the drums are “in the round” and the heads “float”. If tuned as advised in Jeff Ocheltree Video on YouTube, you will have the exact Bonham drum sound!
The Green Sparkle was Bonham’s favorite Kit. He always said it was the best sounding drum kit he owned and most of the studio recordings were on that kit. It is widely known that John owned three Green Sparkle Ludwig Drums kits.

Resonant Front Bass Drum Head is an ORIGINAL 1970 LUDWIG WEATHERMASTER DB 1000 HEAVY BASS DRUM FACTORY HEAD WITH THE GREEN LABEL. This is a vintage head with possible creases and dimples. Very rare and expensive head!  Bonham used the factory front head to create his sound.
All Chrome is Vintage Ludwig. This is very nice chrome but may have pitting, rust, nicks, and scrapes. It is not polished and is not perfect.  All parts are Vintage Ludwig from the 1970's and are not perfect, please see the picture for details. This kit is not mint or perfect and does have a few imperfections as expected with gear over 50 years old. Only the bass drum has had holes professionally plugged.

People who are ignorant laugh, mock and scoff at kits like this because they don't understand the cost. The drums are very expensive and rare to find a kit  together. To do it correctly it should be professionally wrapped, not done in your house. Wrapping, labor and shipping adds 00 to the cost. If you are getting a car from the 70’s you would want it to be perfect, so you paint it. It's expensive. We consider this an art to bring to life Bonham's Drum Kit. it's the real deal.
