This auction is for a remarkable piece of Protective Rapier Equipment - The Absolute Force Protective Mask with side and back of head coverage.  It has been designed specifically for WMA & HEMA style combat.
This mask is fully 350N CE Certified!
The body of the mask is a robust cage of sturdy reinforced fencing screen that is coated black to reduce glare.  The side and back covering is a layers protective system of padding and synthetic leather with additional plastic plating on the rear hood for enhanced rigidity to defend the back of the head.  The rear hood is zippered to allow full locked coverage or the sizing versatility to allow an adjustable rear split as may suit the preference of the wearer.

Often asked question:
"Is this legal for Cut and Thrust in the SCA?"
Answer:  The current SCA Rapier Marshals Handbook (March, 2018) calls for rigid material covering the
entirety
of the head in specific for the area behind the mask -
"
ix. For cut and thrust rapier, the back of the head must also be covered by rigid material, as noted above sufficient to protect against percussive cuts."
This mask largely obeys this requirement, but be aware that there is a small gap closed by elastic between the rear padded armor plates and the side paded armor plates.  Your safety and rules compliance may be specific to your kingdom and safety officer.

You want to measure around the head / face, starting underneath the chin, up one side of the head just through one ear, over the top of the head, and down the other side just through the other ear, and then ending at the chin to make a complete circle.  See the picture.  Just like Connect the Dots!     1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Use a tailor's tape, or a piece of string or yarn to measure afterwards, and make sure you keep whatever you're using to measure snug on your head/face, because if it's loose at all you'll wind up with a mask that's too large!  Don't try and wrap a carpenter's tape around your head, you'll look goofy and it will not work.
Also note: Your helmets are slightly adjustable! If you receive your helmet and are unsure if it fits, try to adjusting it before you get a larger or smaller size!
