Modicon 984 PLC Modbus Programming Cable

Description

This is a Modicon 984 PLC Modbus Programming Cable.  It is designed for programming/troubleshooting for the following CPUs;
PC-X984-120,
PC-X984-145,
PC-E984-251,
PC-E984-255,
PC-E984-381, PC-E984-385, PC-D984-385, PC-E984-480, PC-K984-485, PC-E984-485, PC-E984-685, PC-D984-785, PC-K984-785, and PC-E984-785.  The cable includes 2 adapters, and one 14ft Ethernet cable. One Male DB9 to RJ45(which connects to the CPU), and one Female DB9 to RJ45(which connects to your laptop’s DB9 serial port). If your laptop doesn’t have a DB9 serial port than use a USB to Serial Adapter Cable which will provide the DB9 serial port. The RJ45 Ethernet Cable is a straight through cable, and can be replaced by any straight through cable for additional length (not to exceed 50ft).; The cable must be a straight through meaning pin 1 to pin 1 through pin 8 to pin 8. The setup of this cable reduces the quantity of cable gear you carry. I personally carry one straight through Ethernet cable and the two Adapters in a separate pouch in my laptop case. When I am plugging into the Ethernet network switches, I use this Ethernet cable. When I need to connect to a Modicon 984 Plc, I just pull out my two adapters, connect them to this Ethernet cable, and plug right in to the Plc’s Modbus Port!
