    Description

    You are viewing soft
    enamel
powder colors, for use on porcelain or bisque ware.  Fourteen different colors.  It can be used for decorative raised enamel work, or for flow enamel painting.  Flow enameling creates a beautiful cloisonné effect.
The enamels are packed in plastic bags containing
.25 oz enamel powder per bag.
Enamel can be mixed with premixed enamel medium, or Balsam of Copaiba oil to a stringing consistency,  and thinned with turpentine if needed.  Apply with a stylus, pen or paintbrush.  Allow to dry at least 24 hours before firing.  Enamels should generally be fired only once, at cone 018 (1386 deg).  Fire slowly to allow enamel to cure completely in the kiln.  If fired more than once, the enamel may lose its raised quality.  Most enamel colors fire a bit darker than the unfired colors look.
Using enamels on porcelain is really fun and easy, with a few basic rules.   I will be happy to answer any questions you have!
